Stapling
Stapling means that loose papers are bound by stapling. The most common ways of stapling are saddle stapling booklets and side stapling books. Stapling has been very popular due to it's price - it is quick and easy.

Another traditional method in making booklets is stitching. There are several manufacturers of booklet making machines which can be used as a stand-alone booklet maker, or as an in-line accessory with a collator, printer, copier or set feeder.

These machines are designed for mass production of thousands of soft cover booklets in an hour, they are mostly very large and expensive and their use requires trained personnel. Usually you need a combination of different devices (printer, collator, set feeder, trimmer etc.) to produce a booklet. The thickness of the booklet is limited, and the quality very different from the result of perfect binding. Booklet makers are therefore best suited for repeating bulk production.
